Elevate Your SHSM Programs
For over 30 years, Adventureworks! has been working with secondary schools all across the province to help develop outstanding community members and global citizens. We collaborate with educators to create, and facilitate, impactful and relevant learning experiences for students.
Adventureworks! supports the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program as it provides opportunities for students to reach ahead and experience relevant training specific to their sector of study. This specialized program assists students in their transition from secondary school into college, university, apprenticeship training, or the workplace.
All SHSMs provide students with opportunities to participate in a variety of experiential learning opportunities in the community and complete several sector-specific certifications. Drawing upon our experience and expertise working with a variety of groups, teams, and communities we provide the following SHSM certifications:
Communication Skills
Leadership Skills
Group Dynamics
Personality Inventory
Our SHSM certification programs can take place at your school or at one of our partner sites including The Retreat and Learning Centre at Canterbury Hills. SHSM programs can be delivered in half, full, and multi-day formats. Longer program formats provide opportunities for students to expand their knowledge on topics and potentially combine SHSM certifications.
