Developing outstanding community members and global citizens.

Healthy communities foster positive connections and relationships where all members feel valued, included, and appreciated. When group members are part of a healthy community they can be more productive, responsible, and supportive.

Our Building Healthy Community programs utilize a series of experiential and adventure-based learning opportunities that help participants make meaningful connections and develop and improve social skills that are a foundation for group success. During times of transition and group development, elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools as well as community-focused organizations have all realized success through our Building Community programs.

"Their high and low ropes programs foster personal growth, leadership, character development and spark an appreciation and understanding of outdoor education. The students always leave feeling challenged, confident and have deeper understanding of the teamwork that is needed to build community."

Our Building Community programs immerse group members in a series of adventure-based learning activities designed to help develop the behaviours required for healthy and productive communities. During this 1-day program, your group will visit Canterbury Hills, or one of our partner sites, where we will incorporate the natural outdoor environment and utilize our low and high ropes challenge courses in the program to create an impactful and memorable experience.

Our Building Community programs are also mobile. We can visit you in your space or site to help develop community with your group. This 1-day program format incorporates some of our best portable initiatives and group activities. This is a great program alternative for groups who are not able to travel to one of our sites but can still meet and interact in the same space.

Adventureworks! realizes that not every group member is able to physically attend a program, session, or workshop. We can help you build community with your group virtually. Building Community Virtually includes 2 – 60 minute sessions that engage participants in activities that help them make meaningful connections and begin to develop the social skills necessary to be productive. We will organize virtual sessions on familiar web-based platforms.
